lake stevens - august 21, 2005 after church one sunday afternoon i took my pastor friend virgil for a paddle around lake stevens. he didn't go the whole way around, but cut across the lake. slacker. :) i went pretty much all the way around. to be fair tho', i made him take the horribly slow sit on top kayak [my old one]. he faired pretty well - and kept up with me & even passed me up a time or two in my much groovier tsunami 140. |

lake whatcom - august 27, 2005 this was a particularly fun trip up in bellingham. my nephew ryan joined me for a couple of hours on this afternoon. lake whatcom was actually the first place i ever kayaked - my dad had bought 3 used ocean kayaks [2 scupper pros + 1 malibo two] when we moved into a house on the lake, so i used to paddle around here often. scary thing is, that was 10+ years ago. anywho, we put in at bloedel donovan park & visited the 2 houses there on the lake that my folks had lived in. made for a really fun afternoon. |
